Introducing baby Bennett Daniel!

8lbs. 3oz. 20 inches
Adam was extremely excited to get to hold Ben (he kept saying "I hold it?" until we let him) So far, he's handling a new baby in the house as well as can be expected :)
Noah and Elsie couldn't stop smiling and thought it was so great that he was finally here (mom agreed!)
Bennett's first bath-he took it like a champ, though the other kids were a little concerned that he was crying so much, until we explained it was good for him to cry :)
Bennett's first bath at home, given by Grandma Smith (one of her greatest joys in life is bathing her brand new grandbabies, and then cuddling with them after!)
The Grandma's Smith & Rasmussen (who were both there for Bennett's birth-yeah!!) got much better pictures of all three on the couch with Ben-I'll probably post those later!
He has as much dark hair as the other 3 did at birth, and it will be interesting to see if it stays dark like Elsie's, or if his lightens up like his brothers' (at least they all got the Rasmussen "butt chin"!)

Same face, different angle!Even though it took a little bit to convince him to get here (I was induced about a week early), we are so happy that Bennett is here and that he chose our family to join! He is healthy and an awesome eater, and he has brought nothing but more happiness to our little (well, maybe not so little anymore!) family-welcome baby Bennett, we love you!!
P.S. And a big thanks to all of our friends and family for supporting us-we are truly blessed with the amazing people in our lives! We love you all too!
hooray! i am so happy he is finally here. can you imagine how big he would have been had you gone to your due date? yikes! cant wait to meet him and hopefully it is before his blessing day but knowing our record, it will probably be on that day! : ) love you guys!

ReplyDeleteHOLY HAIR!!! OK, I'm jealous... my kids don't have hair like that until they are 2 years old... and then it's blonde and you still can't see it very well! Congrats, you guys!
